Exercise For Life: Understanding Your Exercise Prescription. The first part discusses proper posture and body mechanics during exercise and lifting, and protecting the back from injury. The second part of the class provides the "nuts and bolts" of an exercise program by defining the exercise prescription for the cardiac patient and presenting the expected health benefits and necessary information about exercise conditioning. Living Well: Understanding Vascular Disease and How To Prevent It. Taught by Cardiopulmonary Rehab staff, this is a comprehensive class that discusses coronary artery disease and other forms of heart and vascular disease and atherosclerosis. HealthQuest. A program providing medically supervised and individually tailored exercise for up to 12 weeks. HealthQuest is ideal for people just beginning an exercise program or for persons experiencing a health problem who require supervision. This program is jointly conducted with ACAC and is designed to progress participants toward independent exercise as tolerance improves and a safe maintenance level is reached.
