| Martha Jefferson Hospital’s Digestive Care Center brings together the diverse medical specialities involved in diagnosing and treating disorders of the digestive system. Our board-certified gastroenterologists work closely with general surgeons, radiologists, pathologists and oncologists to coordinate treatment. Experienced, caring nurses provide the highest quality care in keeping with our Caring Tradition. Throughout the entire process of diagnosis and treatment, the patient’s comfort and privacy is of the highest priority.
Patient-Centered Care
The Digestive Care Center has been designed to make the experience as easy as possible for patients and their families. Both convenient parking and valet parking are readily available. Patients may register on the ground floor and take the elevator to the Digestive Care Center, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Cardwell Center. A nurse shows patients to a private room to prepare for the procedure. Following the procedure, patients may rest comfortably in their room until they are ready to go home. Because most of the procedures performed in the Digestive Care Center are non-surgical, an overnight stay is not usually required. The following day, a nurse will call each patient for follow-up care and to answer any questions.
